Ignite Yourself

Are you stuck? Trapped in a dead-end job?  Discouraged or just sick of winter?  If the fun is out of your gum, bite into this. Tomorrow night, the GW Network is hosting an Ignite event at Busboys and Poets just off U Street in DC and a dozen passionate people will shake you loose in a burst of five-minute presentations.

Be prepared to snap out of your endless-recession, endless-winter funk. Space really is limited.  We are in the back room at Busboys and Poets, a warm space with a coffee house vibe honoring poet Langston Hughes.

P.S.  Of course, if you prefer a soulless ballroom, you can catch the next installment at Ignite Great Ideas! on March 13 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. 

To be fair, you'd also get a three-day Spring Break in the grandeur of the Rockies while you struggle to reclaim your soul at a world-class resort hotel.

Is It Spring Yet?

Way to go Phil! On the 125th anniversary of Groundhog's Day in Punxsutawney, PA, groundhog Phil failed to see his shadow. And, according to local lore, that means "there will be an early spring."  In 125 years, there's only been 15 sans shadow. 

Here in Washington, this morning's steady rain and a promise of a 50 F high reinforces the hope Phil offers us all. Any other signs of spring?
